those kilometers and the red lights..

Yes.. that's what we do ..

crash in the same car.. and we crash again..

and then we said to ourselves.. I already knew that..

I shouldn't have tried..

but something push you harder towards it..

Even it's a mature lyric I found it quite clear the first time I'd heard it..
and it became one of my songs..

Now I got a reason ..

I am on my holidays in Slovenia.. which is a great place..

And wanted to post a song about holidays and my punk side remembered this one..

which is a rant from the Pistols on cheap vacations..

where the weather suits my clothes...

there are songs which are magic..

And the guitar intro to Everybody's Talkin' shows this is one of them .. an instant classic..

I can play this songs for hours.. and never get tired of it..

The movie Midnight Cowboy where is featured is not only a sordid, raw and sad story.. but also a real good one..

Jon Voight is a hopeless male hustler lost in NY , while Dustin Hoffman as the antagonist role is a small-time cheater ... they finally accept they are bound to be together ...

The film, which was X-rated at the time of release, won three Academy Awards ..

Being Best Picture and Best Director among them..

Something that possibly will never happen again ...

I'm alone on a bicycle for two ...

speak slowly
I can't hear you
My mind keeps
Spinning closer
And closer
To the rain on the roof
And the rain in my head
And the things that you said
People take it further ahead ..

For a pocketful of mumbles, such are promises...

Anyone who ever had dared to risk his solid ground for a dream can feel identified with this song...

In fact the whole Bridge Over Trouble Waters record is a raw but gentle biography of all us...

anonymous lonely people walking
with the head in the clouds
and the dreams just one street ahead ...

every single song on it is like a little book, a chapter of a life..

And every song deserves recognition..

"I am leaving, I am leaving."
But the fighter still remains.

sometimes I feel like going down...

isn't life hard ?

King Curtis
who played saxophone on the song was murdered just one month before the U.S. release of Imagine.

Jim Gordon who played drums, became an schizophrenic and killed his mother in the early eighties..

and Lennon himself who was the one singing, was killed in NYC ...

Klaus Voorman who played bass, is the only surviving musician of that session...

He's the only that now can say..

But when it's good..
it's really good..
And when I hold you in my arms baby
sometimes I feel like going down...

Saturday, July 10, 2010've got it all wrong.

Your fraudulent smile,
the way that you faked it ...
the day that you died...

this song is dedicated to all these people who fake it over and over and over..

As long as I gaze on Waterloo Sunset ....

I have the greatest admiration for the most "British" band from the 60's...

I can't remember when I first heard You really Got Me ...

it's public domain, everybody knows it...

I still like it..

but they have so many great tunes Autumn Almanac, Lola, Set me Free, See My Friends, Death of a Clown, etc, etc...

But Waterloo Sunset, has this melancholy in it, this homesickness...

thoughts arrive like butterflies...

Chemistry in rock bands is 90 % percent of success..

And Pearl Jam, had that when they released Ten..

Just listening to this song, and trying to imagine when they were doing the club circuit in Seattle, I can see how any A&R around knew they could become as big as they are..

Though I believe they said it all with that 1st record.. which doesn't diminished they great talent.

I feel inclined to blow my mind ...

What ever happened to the Small Faces ?

There they were... along with Pink Floyd to take the crown off from the Beatles..

They even made a masterpiece with Ogden's Nut Gone Flake..

And then ?

I don't know.. but it's all too beautiful

It's the best thing you have ever had ...

I remember when The Bends came out..

We were freaked out with it..

The first single was My Iron Lung .. which was even better than Creep..

And then the two slow songs.. High and Dry and Fake Plastic Trees...
So bad, RADIOHEAD don't play this songs anymore...
